FLV-80

The Avantgarde FLV-80 continuous flow thermostat is capable of a wide range of temperatures from 4K to 450K with depressurisation down to ~2K, samples are cooled in a vacuum using thermal conduction cooling, large sample space, and can be fitted with a wide range of holders to allow for a wide range of thin films, blocks, powders, and liquids to be tested, and low refrigerant consumption of only 0.4L/h of liquid helium to bring the temperature down from room to 5K. Low refrigerant consumption, 0.4L of liquid helium to 5K and 0.1L/h of liquid nitrogen to 80K, 4 optical windows as standard.

FLV-80 Overview

The FLV-80 continuous flow thermostat can achieve variable temperature and temperature control within the temperature range of 4K~450K (liquid helium) and 78K~450K (liquid nitrogen). In order to meet the needs of customers for electrical testing, the AOV-FL cryostat can be configured with a variety of electrical leads according to the needs of the experiment, such as Ph-Br wires, coaxial cables, and triple-coaxial cables, etc., and there are different types of holders for samples, such as Optical sample holders, resistive sample holders, probe sample holders, liquid sample holders and powder sample holders are available.

The thermostat is equipped with four transparent fused silica windows as standard, transmitting wavelengths from UV to NIR, and other window materials are available to meet a wide range of spectral testing from far/mid infrared, UV to X-ray. The thermostat is equipped with a built-in heater and a high precision temperature sensor. The liquid nitrogen/liquid helium dewars are used to reduce the temperature of the sample holder by evaporating and absorbing the heat from the continuously flowing refrigerant (liquid helium or liquid nitrogen) as a cold source, which is coupled with the external temperature controller to achieve the precise temperature change and temperature control of the cryostat.
